OOTD: 70s Print Clash
My last full day in Brussels was a lot colder than those preceding it, but I still opted for a dress, I just layered it with a top as the dress was really loose and I wanted something that could pull it together and make it a little more fitted.
The shoes are silver loafers with cloudy rubber heels from ASOS that screamed seventies so I had to wear them. I thought the silver complemented the paler tones of the dress (seen here as a skirt) nicely.
The prints on these two pieces are so intricate and amazing that I had to take a few close ups. They are both polyester pieces from the 1970s with a woodland print theme. The dress has a print of maidens in dresses in the woods and the top has a scene of a pre-victorian (? I think) couple courting in the woods in their fantastic costumes.
As in a lot of vintage shirts and tops, the collar is over-sized. My mother and I normally get these altered but this one quite seems to suit the large collar as it has a deep v-neck.
