As I am sure you are all aware, beauty vlogger Bella de Lune posted a 'Clown Contour & Colour Correction' tutorial the other day that swiftly went viral. She said it was half a joke, because she had been receiving a lot of insults and criticism that mocked her recently and wanted to subvert it, but people started actually picking up on this as a beauty trend. I had half an hour to kill, so my flatmates and I decided I would try it out. You can watch the original video below:
I used by contouring palette (£2.30 from ebay, click HERE for similar ones) and following the rough outline of the clown makeup with a slightly larger brush. I blended with the Real Techniques buffing brush and then applied eyeliner, mascara, brows, powder and lipstick on top of it. It definitely corrected the dark circles under my eyes and gave my nose a slimmer, stronger definition, but I'm not sure it's worth the hassle in the long run for the everyday.
Still, I'm not a huge beauty person, but you should go and follow Bella de Lune, even I couldn't resist stalking her make-up looks and drooling slightly over how well applied everything is!
